Hyd police books four pubs in Jubilee hills for violating COVID norms

A spree of inspection was held on 6th November night against Chemistry, Tabula Rasa, Amnesia and Airlive. The task force officials have booked the pubs under disaster management act while the law and order police under other sections of Indian Penal Code.

Speaking to NewsMeter- Deputy Commissioner of Police- Task Force (West Zone) RadhaKishan Rao said, "The state government has set clear guidelines for pubs prior to its opening. No crowd gathering or dance floor is allowed. The management has been asked to strictly follow the social distancing norms. However, despite rules in place, the four pubs were found violating.
He further adds, " We appeal public not to be part of any crowd gathering. Such events can lead to further spread of the virus. Strict action will be taken against violators. The excise department is being consulted for further action".
The Prohibition and Excise department here on Monday seized a pub in Madhapur for violating Covid-19 safety norms prescribed by the government.
