Hyderabad: 18th SHE Shuttle bus service launched for working women in Balanagar, Kukatpally

Hyderabad: The 18th SHE Shuttle--bus to ferry working women in the Hyderabad IT corridor has been launched by the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). The bus was flagged off by Avinash Mohanty, Additional CP from the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, on Wednesday.

This SHE Shuttle bus links the new route from Balanagar Y -Junction via Kukatpally to Avineon India Pvt Ltd premises, covering various IT and ITES organizations and IT parks along the way.

Women commuting from the Balanagar region to Raheja Mindspace must change two buses or utilize alternate public transportation such as shared autos/autos. The new sponsored SHE Shuttle will give last-mile connection to women travelling from the Balanagar / Kukatpally areas, stopping at various IT and ITES organizations and IT parks.

Avineon India Private Limited, which will maintain the SHE Shuttle bus for three years as part of its CSR initiative, inaugurated on its 25th anniversary.

Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General of SCSC, said "What we started in 2015 with two SHE Shuttles with the support of TSIIC / Telangana Government, with today's launch, we have been able to scale up to eighteen SHE Shuttles with this initiative. We are happy that Avineon India has come forward to support this unique initiative, meant for safe travel to women, by providing last-mile connectivity. SCSC's SHE Shuttle continues to be a unique initiative anywhere in the country.

Speaking of the launch, Managing Director of Avineon India Karlu Rambhala said "This facility will benefit many women travelling towards the IT Corridor from Balanagar Y-Junction, Hyderabad. For the past 25 years, Avineon India has supported many initiatives for female empowerment, and this is an extension of that philosophy."

SHE- Shuttle is an exclusive transport system for working women professionals in the IT Corridor, rolled out for transit safety, especially for last-mile transport. The shuttle features a techno-friendly side for the working women commuters from the start point to the end point of the journey through diversified Smart App: 'Reach Safe'. It is equipped with well monitored Surveillance System with CCTV, a lady security guard and a Smart App for every passenger with panic button. Shuttle services are from 8 am to 11 pm.
