Hyderabad: Three students were killed and another injured when their car collided with a DCM vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred near Narayana College in Kuntloor village, under Hayathnagar Police Station limits.
Reports said Skoda car (registration number MH-02-DG-0771) was on its way to Kuntloor from Pasumamula village, and a DCM vehicle (TS-07-UK-2664) was heading in the opposite direction.
The two vehicles collided head-on at a curve near the AEGIS LPG bunk, close to Narayana College (Basara Campus).
The impact of the crash was so severe that three students died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Pinninti Chandrasena Reddy (24), Chunchu Thrinadh Reddy (24), and Chunchu Varshith Reddy (23), all residents of Kuntloor. Their bodies were shifted to the Osmania Hospital Mortuary.
Alimeti Pawan Kalyan Reddy (24), also from Kuntloor, sustained injuries and was admitted to Sunrise Hospital in Hayathnagar.
Hayathnagar police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the collision. Preliminary findings suggest that high speed and a sharp curve may have contributed to the accident.
