Hyderabad: 8 children escape Government Special Home, Kaiser Nagar; manhunt launched

Hyderabad: Eight children have escaped from the Government Special Home for Boys in Kaiser Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Suraram police station in Hyderabad.
Suraram police said the complaint was filed by D. Sangameswar, Superintendent of the Government Special Home for Boys on Tuesday.
The home, located opposite Kaiser Nagar X Road, was tasked with the reformation and rehabilitation of children in conflict with the law under the orders of the Principal Magistrate of the Juvenile Justice Board, Hyderabad.
According to the complaint, during a routine activity, one of the children managed to flee from the classroom by forcefully pushing aside a supervisor who was unlocking the door. Subsequently, the remaining seven children escaped by removing window grills from the classroom.
Efforts to apprehend the runaway children were immediately initiated by the home's staff and security personnel. Additionally, the parents of the children were contacted and urged to cooperate in locating and returning the minors to the facility.
Despite extensive search efforts, the children remain at large.
A case has been registered under Section 224 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the missing children to come forward and assist in their safe return to the juvenile home.
