Hyderabad: ACB seizes ₹1L after unknown persons threw cash out of window during raid at govt office
The officials also recovered 64 suspicious documents
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 Aug 2024 1:22 AM GMTHyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials seized ₹1,00,000 which was thrown out of a window by unknown persons during a raid at Joint Sub-Registrar Office, Patancheruvu in Kashipur village in Sangareddy district.
The officials also recovered 64 suspicious documents.
Acting on reliable information, ACB raided the Joint Sub-Registrar Office-Patancheruvu in Kashipur village of Kandi Mandal, Sangareddy district. ACB officials seized ₹1,00,000 which was thrown out of a window by unknown persons.
Document writers fled and closed their shops. Verification of records and staff examinations revealed that officials were demanding hefty bribes for document registrations. Further probe is on.
In a separate case, Mohammad Zahed Pasha, Tahasildar, Kalvasrirampur Mandal, Peddapalli district was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs. 10,000 through Dasari Dharmender and Mohammad Amzad, from the complainant Kadem Thirupathi of Mandamarri Town, Mancherial district for mutating the land about his father and issuing manual passbook.
The tainted bribe amount was also recovered. The fingers of hands of the accused yielded positive results in the chemical test.
