Hyderabad: Addicted to PUBG, youth ends life at Yellareddyguda

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old PUBG-addicted man seemingly ended his life at Yellareddyguda.
Identified as P. Akhil, his body was at his residence. He had developed an addiction to the online game, which had led to a downward spiral in his life
According to his mother Jaya, she had left her home on Wednesday, to meet a friend in Srinagar colony, leaving her son behind. Around 8:08 PM, she received a disturbing WhatsApp message from Akhil.
Alarmed by the ominous message, his mother immediately tried to contact her son but received no response. Upon returning home, she found the main door locked from the inside.
With the assistance of the watchmen, she managed to break open the door, only to discover her lifeless son. She immediately rushed Akhil to NIMS Hospital, where the duty doctors pronounced him brought dead.
Jaya said her husband, Vishwanath, had passed away in 2018 due to illness. Following his demise, she and her son moved to their current residence in Gummadi Apartment, Yellareddyguda.
Disturbingly, Jaya disclosed that Akhil had developed an addiction to PUBG, which had led to a downward spiral in his life. She stated that he had not attended college for the past three months, succumbing to the grips of this digital obsession.
