Hyderabad: For the last one year, Atal Incubation Centre-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (AIC-CCMB) nurtured over 80 firms and offered various incubation, immersion, and acceleration programs.
On October 31, AIC-CCMB completed five years of incubating life sciences startups. Established in 2017, AIC-CCMB, Hyderabad, was one of India's first 10 AIC centers.
On this occasion, Dr. Vinay Nandicoori, Director CSIR-CCMB, said the unique environment created by AIC-CCMB provides startups with a unique opportunity to try their ideas in a research setup with a business focus.
"Incubators like AIC-CCMB are essential for bridging the gap between institutional innovation and research institutes to industry," he added.
Dr. N Madhusudhana Rao, CEO of AIC-CCMB, spoke at the event and said, "Over the last five years, we have provided budding life science firms with cutting-edge innovation facilities as well as technical and intellectual skills to assist them in laying the groundwork for future growth."
"The assistance of AIM, NITI Aayog, and our host institute, CCMB, has been critical in establishing this incubator," he added.
