Hyderabad: Police have booked TAP Pub and After 9 Pubs after a resident of BN Reddy Colony in Banjara Hills filed a complaint about noise pollution.
In his complaint to the Banjara Hills police station, Valluru Bharani highlighted the adverse impact of the pubs on the well-being of his family, particularly on small children and elderly parents.
A resident of Road No. 14 of BN Reddy Colony, Bharani described the situation as "noxious," with the heavy sounds emanating from the adjacent pubs disrupting the peaceful environment of the neighborhood.
Concerns have been raised not only about the disturbance caused by the noise but also about the structural impact on the complainant's residence, as the walls reportedly vibrate due to the intensity of the sound.
Bharani discovered that neither TAP Pub nor After 9 Pubs possess the necessary amusement licenses required to operate legally. This revelation prompted him to escalate the matter, urging police to take action against the establishments for their violation of licensing regulations.
A case has been registered under Section 188 and 290 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 15 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986. Banjara Hills police have confirmed that an investigation into the case is currently underway
