Hyderabad begins direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City via VietJet
The new route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) has announced new direct flight services connecting Hyderabad to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, through VietJet. The inaugural flight took off on Wednesday in the presence of GHIAL officials, VietJet representatives, and other stakeholders.
Flight service twice every week
The new route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a flight time of approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes.
ā¢ Ho Chi Minh to Hyderabad (Flight No. VJ-1803): Departs at 7:40 PM, and arrives at 10:35 pm.
ā¢ Hyderabad to Ho Chi Minh (Flight No. VJ-1804): Departs at 11:35 pm, arrives at 5:30 am (next day).
Strengthening international connectivity
Speaking on the launch, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GHIAL, stated that the new service would enhance Hyderabadās global presence by improving tourism and trade links between India and Vietnam. He emphasized GHIALās commitment to expanding international connectivity and transforming Hyderabad into a major global travel hub.
VietJet Vice President Do Xuan Quang highlighted India as a key market for the airline. He noted that Hyderabadās position as a leading city in South India made it an ideal addition to VietJetās network, further strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
Boost to tourism and business
The direct flight is expected to increase Indian tourist traffic to Vietnam, known for its beaches, cultural sites, and vibrant cities. Hyderabadās IT and pharmaceutical sectors could also benefit from enhanced business ties with Vietnam, improving trade and investment opportunities.
Additionally, with Ho Chi Minh City serving as a regional hub, the new service will provide better onward connectivity for Indian travellers heading to other destinations in Southeast Asia.
With this launch, GMR Hyderabad International Airport continues to expand its global reach, offering travellers more direct international options.
