Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat ready for launch from September 24; 9 more make debut

Hyderabad: A total of nine Vande Bharat Express trains, including the one along the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route, will be flagged off by prime minister Narendra Modi on September 24 (Sunday) at 12:30 pm via video conferencing.

According to the rail ministry, these new Vande Bharat trains are a step towards realising the prime minister’s vision of improving connectivity across the country and providing world-class facilities to rail passengers.




The new Vande Bharat trains that will be flagged off are:

1. Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express

2. Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express

3. Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express

4. Vijayawada-Chennai (via Renigunta) Vande Bharat Express

5. Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express

6. Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express

7. Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri Vande Bharat Express

8. Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express

9. Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express

These nine trains will boost connectivity across 11 states namely Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gujarat.




Schedule of Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express

The Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is said to be around 2.5 hours faster than other trains on the route. It will operate six days a week and will be halted on Wednesday for weekly maintenance.

As per a tentative schedule, the train will leave Kacheguda in Hyderabad at 5:30 am and reach Yeshwanthpur around 2 pm. In the return direction, it will leave Bengaluru at 2:45 pm and reach Hyderabad around 11:15 pm. The train will cover 610 km in around seven hours.

The train won’t have any stops in Karnataka. The proposed stoppages will be at Mahabubnagar, Kurnool city, Anantapur, Dhone and Dharmavaram.
