Hyderabad’s Bhandari Devanshi steps into India Book of Records

Hyderabad: In the heart of every parent lies the aspiration to see their child flourish, explore their potential, and achieve exceptional feats.

Bhandari Mounica and her husband Bhandari Vijendra from Hyderabad embarked on a remarkable journey with their 1-year-10-month-old daughter, Bhandari Devanshi. Driven by her insatiable curiosity and passion for learning, the family’s journey took an exciting turn when they discovered an opportunity to cheer their child’s talents through the India Book of Records (IBR).

Devanshi managed to prove unequivocally and on record that she is capable of actions that a child of her age would struggle to perform, if not have no comprehension of their surroundings.

The spark of inspiration

It all started with Mounica coming across a series of YouTube videos on Suman Channel, showing young children receiving recognition for their talents from the India Book of Records. These inspiring stories ignited a spark within her. She realised that their little one, with her keen interest in learning and thirst for new experiences, had the potential to achieve something remarkable.

With unwavering determination, Mounica decided to take a step forward. On August 7, 2023, she submitted an application to the India Book of Records, outlining Devanshi’s incredible abilities and achievements. Little did they know that this would be the beginning of an exciting and rewarding journey.

A chance to shine

On August 10, Mounica and her family received a response from the IBR team. It included a set of instructions to ensure their application’s approval. These instructions required them to submit video recordings of their daughter’s achievements, a birth certificate, a proof of address, a memorable picture of their child in action, and a detailed list of activities performed.

In response to these instructions, Mounica and her husband meticulously recorded videos of their child’s achievements.

These videos showed Devanshi identifying 15 toys, six baby products, nine vegetables, five cartoon characters, and pictures of 11 parts of the body. Additionally, they recorded her reciting six rhymes, 10 action words, counting numbers from 1 to 10, and mimicking the sounds of five animals. All these cognitive and motor skills are considered rare to be exhibited by such a young child.

This comprehensive demonstration of their child’s abilities was sent to the IBR team on August 12.

The moment of triumph

After patiently awaiting the outcome, the Bandari family received an email on August 19 that filled their hearts with joy. Their daughter was selected to be a member of the India Book of Records in the Appreciation Category. It was a moment of triumph and validation for her young talent and her proud parents.

This recognition in the IBR’s Appreciation Category is just the beginning of what promises to be an incredible journey for this talented young child. Mounica and Vijendra’s unwavering support and belief in Devanshi’s potential have paved the way for her to shine brightly.

This heartwarming story serves as a reminder that every child is a treasure trove of talent and potential waiting to be discovered. With the right guidance, nurturing, and recognition, young minds can achieve extraordinary feats.
