Hyderabad braces up to host Commonwealth AI Global Summit from Nov 22 to 23

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is all set to host Commonwealth AI Global Summit 2025 from November 22 to 23.

Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) said the summit will be held at Jubilee Hills Convention Centre, Hyderabad.

Themed “Encourage, Educate, Empower,” the summit is expected to draw around 2,500 delegates and experts from across the world, including representatives from over 50 Commonwealth nations and partner countries.

The event will focus on the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medicine, Healthcare Management, and Digital Health Transformation.

Organisers and Collaborations

Addressing the media, Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of TGCHE, said the event is being organized by the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA) in collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

He said, “The Commonwealth AI Global Summit 2025 is a prestigious international event that highlights the importance of AI healthcare technologies while addressing the ethical and regulatory challenges that come with them.”

Fellowship Certificate Course to be Introduced

Dr. Prabhu Kumar Challagali, Organizing Chairman and Convener of the summit, expressed gratitude to the Telangana Government for hosting the event.

He stated, “For the first time in Indian history, a Fellowship Certificate Course on Commonwealth AI and Digital Health (FCAD) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is being introduced, a matter of great pride for Telangana and India.”

Dr. Challagali added that the course would provide a valuable opportunity for medical professionals, from MBBS students to senior practitioners, to learn about AI’s applications in healthcare.

“As AI is forging the future of the nation, every medical professional should register for and attend the conference, so that they can gain knowledge and benefit from it,” he said.

Universities and Institutional Participation

Dr. P.V. Nanda Kumar Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), announced that the university will take an active role in the summit.

He said, “KNRUHS is participating in the Commonwealth AI Global Summit and adopting villages to provide training in AI tools and technologies for health centres across Telangana.”

The university also issued a circular inviting students, interns, faculty members, and researchers from affiliated medical colleges to register for the FCAD workshop, which will include lectures, demonstrations, and panel discussions led by experts in medicine, IT, and cybersecurity.

AI’s Role in Healthcare

Dr. E. Ravindra Reddy, Chairman of the National Action Committee, explained how AI is reshaping the medical field. “Artificial Intelligence is transforming the medical profession and simplifying the work of doctors and healthcare providers through technological innovation,” he said.

Dr. J. Gopala Krishna, Organizing Secretary of the summit, announced the event dates and extended an open invitation to the medical community. “The summit will be held on 22nd and 23rd November 2025 at the Jubilee Hills Convention Centre. We invite all medical students, professionals, doctors, scientists, and practitioners to participate and benefit from the enriching sessions on AI in Medicine, Healthcare Management, and Digital Health Transformation,” he said.

Government Endorsement and Participation

The Director of Medical Education, Dr. K. Sivaram Prasad, has also issued instructions to all principals and superintendents of government medical colleges and hospitals across Telangana to ensure participation of doctors and postgraduate medical residents in the event.
