Hyderabad: Car runs over laborer’s three-year-old daughter; dies

Hyderabad: A three-year-old girl was killed after a car ran over her at Lecturers' Colony in Hayathnagar.

The victim was identified as Laxmi. The accused was identified as Hari Rama Krishna, an interior designer. His wife is working as Sub-Inspector in the Prohibition & Excise Department.

Laxmi's family had recently migrated from Karnataka and were working at a nearby construction site.

On Wednesday, as the scorching heat persisted, Laxmi's mother brought her to the apartment. In an attempt to provide some comfort, she carefully put her girl to sleep in the parking area and covered her with a cloth.

Tragically, Hari Rama Krishna returned home and parked his vehicle at his usual spot, unaware of the presence of the child. This heartbreaking oversight led to the accident that claimed Laxmi's life.

During questioning, Hari Rama Krishna expressed deep remorse stating that he failed to notice the child due to the clothing that covered her.

Hayathnagar Sub Inspector Narsinha said a case has been registered and an investigation has been put on the fast track
