Hyderabad: Comic Con India, the countryā€™s largest pop culture celebration, is set to return to Hyderabad from November 15 to 17, marking its first-ever three-day event in the city. The expanded format promises an engaging lineup of events for fans of comics, anime, gaming and pop culture at the HITEX Exhibition Centre.

Special freebies for every attendee

Maruti Suzuki Arena presents Hyderabad Comic Con, 2024, powered by Crunchyroll. Every attendee will receive a copy of Radiant Black Issue No. 1, a special Solo Levelling poster by Yen Press and a commemorative Comic Con India Bag.

Jatin Varma, founder of Comic Con India, expressed excitement about this yearā€™s expanded celebration.

ā€œWe are thrilled to bring the biggest pop culture celebration, Comic Con India, back to Hyderabad, and this year, weā€™re taking it up by a notch by extending the festival to three days,ā€ he said.

ā€œThe overwhelming passion from fans has fuelled us to expand the event, bringing more thrilling experiences with a wider range of activities for everyone to enjoy this season. This will be our biggest event in Hyderabad to date, showcasing the very best in Indian comics, immersive fan activities, cosplay, gaming, geeky shopping and so much more. I am beyond excited to welcome everyone to what is set to be an epic celebration.ā€

Featured panels, stand-up acts and live performances

Comic Con India will feature panels and sessions with Amar Chitra Katha, Raj Comics, Crunchyroll, and prominent Indian and international creators. Attendees can also enjoy stand-up performances by comedians Harsh Gujral, Azeem Banatwalla, Ravi Gupta and Hyderabadā€™s own Sayed Bashaar.

Music and entertainment acts will include the Daisuki Cosplay Band, Geek Fruit and hip-hop artist Karan Kanchan, among others. The main stage promises to be a hub of activity throughout the event.

DreamHack and Comic Con India Collaboration

DreamHack, Indiaā€™s biggest gaming festival, is celebrating its fifth anniversary by joining forces with Comic Con India for the Hyderabad event.

Known for its LAN tournaments, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) zones, cosplay contests and tech expos, DreamHack will add a gaming dimension to this yearā€™s Comic Con experience.

Akshat Rathee, co-founder and managing director of NODWIN Gaming, emphasised the significance of this collaboration.

ā€œBringing DreamHack and Hyderabad Comic Con together represents the ultimate fusion of gaming and pop cultureā€”a ā€˜best of both worlds,ā€™ā€ he said.
