Hyderabad: Constable attacks youth with lathi, injures him
A young man was brutally beaten up by a constable of the Bhavani Nagar police station in the city late on Saturday.

Mohd. Ashraf and his friends were gathered outside his home in the Talabkatta area when a police patrol team saw them standing there without any masks. When the cops questioned them, the youths picked an argument following which the constable took out his lathi and started hitting them. In the process, Ashraf injured his left eye.

Following the incident, a large number of people rushed to the police station and staged a protest demanding action against the constable Shiva Kumar. The situation was out of control, violating lockdown orders. Additional forces from the neighboring areas were mobilized to disperse the crowd. The police are yet to make an announcement on the issue.
