Hyderabad: Telangana EAGLE (Elite Action Group for Law Enforcement) has detained three foreign women from Nigeria and Zimbabwe for overstaying their visas and allegedly engaging in drug peddling and prostitution across the country.

Detained at Quthbullapur

In an official statement issued by EAGLE, the three women were taken into custody at Quthbullapur on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Investigations revealed that their visas had expired long ago, yet they continued to stay in India illegally and were actively involved in supplying narcotics and operating escort services.

Delhi operation against Nigerian drug network

The latest arrests are part of a larger operation launched by the Telangana EAGLE force in the last week of November in Delhi, targeting Nigerian drug syndicates supplying narcotics to Hyderabad and other cities.

During the Delhi operation, more than 50 Nigerian nationals were rounded up. Of them, eight key accused were arrested and brought to Hyderabad for further investigation, while others who had overstayed their visas were handed over to the local FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office).

Drug deal in Visakhapatnam

The EAGLE officials also said that before the operation, three women from the same gang, identified as Kasoha Silvenda, Ezinni Precious, and Victory Itohin, had travelled to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to sell drugs.

They reportedly visited Andhra University, where they sold narcotics to two individuals identified as Suresh and Harshavardhan.

Escort booking and escape

After the drug transaction, the women were allegedly booked by a man named Sandeep from Parvathipuram through a foreign escort website. Acting on a tip-off, EAGLE teams rushed to a service apartment in Visakhapatnam where the women were staying.

However, the suspects managed to escape before the police arrived and disposed of the drugs in their possession.

Tracked and caught near Hyderabad

Based on further intelligence that the women were travelling to Hyderabad to meet an associate named Prithvi Chandra, EAGLE force tracked their movements and finally apprehended them near Quthbullapur on Thursday.

Investigation ongoing

The EAGLE officials said further investigation is underway to identify their local contacts, financial transactions, and the wider network involved in drug supply and illegal activities. Authorities are also coordinating with immigration officials for legal action related to visa violations and deportation proceedings.
