Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out at a fireworks store at Sun City in Rajendranagar on Friday night.
The flames quickly engulfed an adjoining food court, leading to a cylinder blast. The resulting loud noise terrified residents of the adjacent apartment. Reports suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit
Three additional shops were also gutted in the fire. Fortunately, with the prompt response of firefighters and the Rajendra Nagar police, the blaze was brought under control.
Thankfully, as the shops were unoccupied, no lives were lost. Preliminary indications suggest that the fireworks shop operated without a proper permit. Firefighters had to break through walls to contain and extinguish the fire.
