Hyderabad: City's first-ever Vegan Market, an exhibition of plant-based food and edible items, will be held at Hi-Tech City here on Sunday.

It is the first-of-its-kind plant-based market organized jointly by Alt Mart and Enya, women-led vegan start-ups, and passionate vegans who believe in a more compassionate world, one that is healthy and planet-friendly.

Alt Mart, a one-stop vegan e-commerce marketplace that services pan-Indian markets, is founded by Rupa Obulreddigari. Enya is a dairy alternatives brand and cloud kitchen founded by Pranavi Pangnuri and Vishwatej that aims to change the way people perceive veganism.

The exhibition will be organized in association with Beyond Meat; Vijay Sweets who shot to fame with vegan Mysore Pak; Vegan First, an online vegan portal in India and a one-stop solution for vegans; People for Animals, India's largest animal welfare organizations; The Weekend Café, a vegan café; AWBP Trust, a non-profit organization that connects people to animals so that animals get water round the clock; and Hyderabad Save.

The expo will feature exhibitors who will showcase microgreens, fresh veggies, and healthy snacks like mock meat, ice creams, dairy alternatives, and lip-smacking desserts.
