Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Ganesh laddu auction broke all previous records this year.
Devotees competed fiercely for the prized laddus, not just for blessings, but to support temples and charitable causes.
Here are the details of laddu auctions in Hyderabad:
Rs 2.32 Cr – Keerti Richmond Villas, Bandlaguda
Residents pooled resources to secure the 10-kg laddu at Rs 2.32 crore, the highest bid of the season. Over 80 villa owners participated, divided into four groups, placing nearly 500 bids over two and a half hours.
The auction began at 8.15 p.m. and concluded at 10.40 p.m., marking one of the festival’s most eagerly anticipated events. The laddu auction has seen steady growth in bids over the years:
2022: Rs 60.48 lakh
2023: Rs 1.26 crore
2024: Rs 1.87 crore
2025: Rs 2.32 crore
All proceeds will go to the RV Diya Charitable Trust, which supports over 42 NGOs in areas such as senior care, women’s health, education, nutrition, medical support, and animal welfare, impacting more than 10,000 lives.
Rs 51.07 Lakh – My Home Bhuja, Raidurg
At My Home Bhuja, last year’s winner, Illandu Ganesh, reclaimed the prized prasadam for Rs 51.07 lakh, nearly double his previous bid of Rs 29 lakh, reflecting the community’s spirited participation.
Rs 35 Lakh – Balapur Ganesh Laddu
Balapur’s famous 21-kg laddu prasadam fetched a record Rs 35 lakh this year. The prized laddu was won by Lingala Dasharatha Gowda of Karman Ghat.
Last year, the same laddu was secured by BJP state leader Kolan Shankar Reddy of Balapur for Rs 30.01 lakh.

This year’s winning bid marks an increase of Rs 4.99 lakh compared to 2024, continuing the tradition of high-value charitable offerings during the festival.
Rs 14 Lakh – Meekshi Sky Lounge, Kondapur
A 5-kg laddu at Meekshi Sky Lounge went for Rs 14 lakh after intense bidding, highlighting the growing enthusiasm for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Kondapur.
Rs 11,11,111 – Vesella Meadows, Narsingi
In Vesella Meadows, the 5-kg laddu climbed from an opening price of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 11,11,111, won by Narendra Reddy, adding a touch of symbolic numerology to the festive fervor.
Rs 8.1 Lakh – My Home Avatar, Financial District
Resident Ravinder Reddy won the laddu at My Home Avatar for Rs 8.1 lakh, capping off a lively auction in Hyderabad’s financial hub.
Rs 5.55 Lakh – Attapur Apartment Complex
In Attapur, a community laddu was sold for Rs 5.55 lakh, demonstrating the widespread participation across the city’s residential complexes.

Beyond Money: Blessings and Community Spirit
“The auctions are more than just numbers for us. Winning the laddu is believed to bring divine blessings, while the proceeds support temple upkeep, welfare initiatives, and community projects, reflecting a harmonious blend of faith, festive spirit, and philanthropy,” said Abhay Deshpande, managing trustee of the community, after participating in the laddu auction at Keerti Richmond Villas, Bandlaguda.
