Hyderabad: Get ready to pay parking fees at metro stations; check details

Hyderabad: L&TMRHL has decided to introduce parking fees at two metro stations in Hyderabad.

To start with, L&TMRHL will introduce the parking fees at Nagole Metro Station on August 25. It will be followed at Miyapur Metro Station on September 1.

This announcement came despite protests by metro passengers against imposing parking fees.

“Why charge for parking on government lands?” asked passengers who protested at Metro station against the hike in ticket charges and the parking fee.

In a statement, L&T officials said: “ Today as a part of the pilot run, to test the functioning and efficiency of various systems a trial was conducted at Nagole parking facility. The inconvenience thus caused to our passengers is regretted.
