Hyderabad gets its first IPL Fan Park: Live stadium experience at Sainikpuri on May 24-25

Hyderabad: Although Hyderabad missed out on hosting any of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoff matches, the city will still get a taste of the cricketing actionāfor the first time ever, an IPL Fan Park will be set up in the city on May 24 and 25 at Bhavans Cricket Ground, Sainikpuri.
First-ever Fan Park for Hyderabad and Chennai
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the final phase of the TATA IPL Fan Parks 2025, a nationwide fan engagement initiative that brings the live IPL stadium experience to cities across the country.
Hyderabad and Chennai, two of the most passionate cricketing cities in India, have been added to the fan park circuit for the first time this year.
Venue and match screenings
The Hyderabad Fan Park will be hosted at Bhavans Cricket Ground, Sainikpuri.
On May 24, fans can enjoy the live screening of the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals. The following day, on May 25, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Kolkata Knight Riders, though SRH has already exited the playoff race.
SRH falls short of playoff berth
Sunrisers Hyderabadās campaign in IPL 2025 came to an early close after the team failed to secure a top-four finish. Despite entering the tournament with high expectations, SRH struggled with inconsistency and could not maintain winning momentum.
Fan Park experience for all ages
The IPL Fan Park will offer fans a complete match-day experience with live screenings, music, food courts, kidsā zones, virtual batting simulators, face painting, bowling nets, cheer-o-meters, and 360° photo booths. The setup is designed to replicate the festive atmosphere of a live stadium.
Kakinada also joins Fan Park circuit
In addition to Hyderabad, Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh will also host the IPL Fan Park on June 1 and 3 at the District Sports Authority Ground in Ramanayyapeta.
When was the first IPL Fan Park launched?
Launched in 2015, the IPL Fan Park initiative has successfully brought the excitement of the IPL to over 50 cities in 23 States and one Union Territory, especially targeting locations that donāt host live IPL matches. It continues to be a key effort by the BCCI to expand the leagueās reach and engage fans nationwide.
