Hyderabad: A 23-year-old coffee shop employee showed the presence of mind when she raised an alarm to shoo away a man who grabbed and behaved inappropriately with her near JBS Metro Station.
The incident occurred when she was returning from work on Independence Day. After completing her work shift, she boarded the metro and arrived at the JBS metro station around 7:40 PM. She then walked towards the JBS Bus stand to catch a bus to Siddipet.
Due to the heavy rain, the area around the station was severely flooded. Seeking a faster route to the JBS Bus stand, she decided to take a less-traveled path behind the JBS gate, where there was minimal lighting.
As she walked through this poorly lit area, an unidentified man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and behaved inappropriately.
The woman screamed, which caused the assailant to flee the scene.
The woman reported the incident to the Maredpally police. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the perpetrator.
