Hyderabad: HYDRAA dismantles illegal encroachments, clears internal roads at Pedamberpet

Hyderabad: HYDRAA on Thursday removed illegal encroachments blocking internal roads in the Shabari Hills layout at Pedamberpet village, bringing relief to plot owners who had complained of restricted access.

Illegal construction on layout roads

The issue pertains to a residential layout named Shabari Hills, developed with 278 plots in Survey No. 265 at Pedamberpet village in Abdullapurmet Mandal, Rangareddy district.

An adjacent landowner, who had purchased one acre in Survey No. 346, allegedly encroached on the layout by occupying nearly 20 plots’ worth of land.

Claiming that a stormwater drain passed through his property, the individual reportedly constructed boundary walls inside the approved layout, resulting in the blockage of internal roads and the main access route.

Complaint to HYDRAA

Aggrieved by the obstruction, Shabari Hills plot owners approached HYDRAA through the Prajavani grievance platform, stating that both their plots and the approach road to the layout had been illegally blocked.

Joint survey and findings

Acting on the complaint, HYDRA officials conducted an inquiry and carried out a joint survey in the presence of both parties with the assistance of the AD Survey department.

The survey confirmed that encroachment had occurred to the extent of nearly 4,000 square yards within the layout, including areas earmarked for roads.

Encroachments removed

Following confirmation of the violations, HYDRAA removed the boundary walls obstructing the roads on Thursday, restoring free access within the layout.

Residents relieved

With the roads reopened, residents and plot owners of Shabari Hills expressed relief, stating that normal access had finally been restored after prolonged uncertainty.
