Hyderabad: HYDRAA has reclaimed 2,100 square yards of parkland at Nandi Hills Colony in Meerpet Municipality, Balapur mandal of Rangareddy district.
Complaint triggers action
Residents approached HYDRAA through the Prajavani grievance platform, alleging that a portion of the parkland had been encroached upon by individuals who created fake layouts and illegally numbered plots.
The complainants said the land, reserved for community needs, was being unlawfully occupied.
Field inspection confirms encroachment
Acting on the complaint, HYDRAA officials conducted a ground-level inspection and verified official records. The inquiry confirmed that encroachments had indeed taken place on the designated parkland.
Immediate reclamation
Following confirmation, HYDRAA took swift action to clear the encroachments and fully reclaimed the 2,100 sq yards, restoring the land for public use.

Local residents have praised HYDRAA for protecting community assets. They said the agency continues to play a crucial role in preventing encroachments on lands reserved for public purposes, including parks and open spaces.
