Hyderabad: IMD predicts respite from cold wave, rise in temperatures

Hyderabad: The city is set to witness a rise in temperatures, bringing respite from the ongoing winter cold wave, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad.

The forecast indicates that minimum temperatures across the state will remain above 15 degrees Celsius in the coming days.

Cold Wave Likely to Subside by January 18

As per IMD Hyderabad, relief from the cold wave conditions is expected to continue until January 18. The department has also withdrawn all cold wave alerts for almost all districts of Telangana until Saturday.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reported that the lowest minimum temperature in the state on Tuesday was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius in Kumuram Bheem district.

Weather Outlook for Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, no cold wave conditions are expected for the next few days. The IMD has forecast a partly cloudy sky and misty or hazy conditions during the morning hours until January 18.

This forecast applies to all zones of the city, including Charminar, Khairathabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Sri Lingampally.

Current Temperature Trends

T Balaji, popularly known as Telangana weatherman stated, ā€œMinimum temperatures are likely to remain stable, staying above 15 degrees Celsius, bringing much-needed relief from the cold wave that affected the city and several districts in the state.ā€

Residents in Hyderabad have welcomed the forecast, expressing relief as temperatures gradually rise.

Seasonal Variations in Telangana

While certain districts in Telangana experienced significantly low temperatures earlier, including Kumuram Bheem, this upward trend in mercury signals a temporary shift in winter conditions. Experts recommend taking standard precautions during misty mornings to ensure safety while commuting.

With temperatures stabilizing, Hyderabad residents can expect milder weather conditions in the days ahead.
