Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police rescue missing parrot, reunite it with owner
A 4-month-old Australian breed parrot Galah, also known as Rose-breasted Cockatoos went missing on September 22.

This heartwarming story unfolded when, Narendrachari Myru, a resident of Road No. 44 and owner of a 4-month-old Australian breed parrot Galah, also known as Rose-breasted Cockatoos, lodged a missing report on September 22.
The parrot's sudden disappearance left Myru deeply distressed, particularly since he had invested a substantial sum of Rs. 1.30 lakh in acquiring Gala as his beloved pet. Without hesitation, he filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police on September 24. He also provided them with a photograph of the missing parrot.
Sub-inspector Mutyala Mehar Rakesh immediately shared the parrot's photograph with local bird and animal dealers.
In a surprising turn of events, it was discovered that Gala had been sold to an individual in Erragadda for Rs. 30,000. The buyer was identified as Syed Mujahid. Even more astonishing was that Mujahid took to WhatsApp to advertise the parrot's availability, listing it for sale at a significantly higher price of Rs. 70000.
A breakthrough in the case occurred when the manager of a local pet shop in Jubilee Hills came across the parrot's photo and recognized it from the police alerts.
The parrot was finally recovered and reunited with its owner, Narendrachari Myru. This heartwarming reunion stands as a testament to the dedication and efficiency of the Jubilee Hills Police Department, highlighting the power of community involvement and vigilance.
