Hyderabad: Banjara Hills police have registered a case against BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) for allegedly causing road obstruction and public nuisance at the ACB office here after his questioning in the Formula-E race case on January 9.
The case was booked following a complaint by Govardhan of the Banjara Hills Traffic Police Station.
In his complaint, he stated that despite repeated police instructions to move ahead, KTR reportedly told his driver to stop the vehicle.
The situation became tense after KTR spoke with the media and argued with the cops. When his vehicle moved forward, he urged BRS activists to gather additional supporters. Within moments, a group of about 30 people, including party officials Balka Suman, Govardhan Reddy, Gellu Srinivas, Jai Simha, and Krishank Manne, began an illegal rally that concluded at Telangana Bhavan.
All of them have been accused of organizing an illegal gathering that broke traffic rules and inconvenienced the public. This development adds to the legal issues KTR is already facing in the Formula E-Racing case, where claims against him are being investigated.
