Hyderabad: Youth falls off hotel third floor to escape dog attack; dies
He went to the balcony on the third floor and chased the dog initially and then the dog suddenly chased him

Identified as G Uday Kiran, he was a native of Tenali and residing at Ashok Nagar in Ramachandrapuram. He completed his ITI about two years ago and presently working as a painter along with his father G Subba Rao.
The incident occurred on Sunday night when Uday went to the VV Pride Hotel in Chandanagar to celebrate one of his friend's birthday. On the occasion, all of them are under the influence of alcohol.
Chandanagar SI B Nagesh said that at 12: 30 am on Monday, a dog came to third floor of the hotel and started barking, Uday came to corridor from their room to chase away the dog. In a desperate attempt to evade the dog, Uday received injuries on his jaw and back and shifted him to PRK hospital.
The entire incident was captured on the hotel's CCTV cameras. However, hotel staff reportedly concealed the incident from the public, delaying its disclosure. The matter only came to light later.
Police have registered a case under Cr. No.1067/2024 U/s 194 BNSS and started an investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of a young man.
