Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Madhura Nagar. Identified as Dasari Pavan, he had reportedly been suffering from health issues over the past few days, according to Madhura Nagar police.

Pavan had been living with his childhood friend, B. Sandeep, for the past four years. On Saturday evening, Sandeep and another friend, Uday, took Pavan to a hospital, where they collected a nebulizer and some prescribed medication. They returned home around 9:00 PM. According to Sandeep, Pavan appeared visibly unwell and was struggling to breathe.

The group reportedly went to bed around 4:00 AM. The next morning, at approximately 11:00 AM, Sandeep and others tried knocking on Pavan’s bedroom door but received no response. When they tried again around lunchtime and still got no reply, they called mutual friends Shravan, Uday, and Sai for assistance.

Upon their arrival, the friends forcibly opened the door and found Pavan unresponsive, collapsed beside his bed. As the door opened, Pavan’s pet dog—a three-month-old Husky—ran out of the room. The group also noticed bleeding injuries on Pavan’s private parts, which initially raised concerns.

Police currently suspect that Pavan may have died due to a heart attack. Sub-Inspector Shiva Shankar stated, ā€œIt appears the man may have died of natural causes, possibly a heart stroke. Given that the dog was locked in the room for several hours with its unresponsive owner, it is likely that the pet tried to wake him. In the process, it may have bitten or tugged at his body, leading to the injuries.ā€

The officer emphasized that the exact cause of death and the nature of the injuries will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is completed.

Based on a complaint filed by Sandeep, a case of suspicious death has been registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the matter is currently under investigation.
