Hyderabad Marathon: Check these routes before commuting on Aug 25

Hyderabad: The 13th edition of Hyderabad Marathon 2024 will be held on August 25.

The 42 km full marathon and 21 km half marathon will start from People’s Plaza Necklace Road. The 10 km run starts from Hitex Exhibition Ground Khanamet, Madhapur.

Starting at 5.00 AM, it will pass through different roads before concluding at Gachibowli Stadium at 12.30 PM

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, certain measures to regulate traffic at various places/junctions/roads have been taken.

Traffic Diversion Points:

Alternative Route period

1. T-Hub Junction towards Jubilee Hills

(T-Hub Junction) Traffic coming from My Home Bhooja towards Jubilee Hills Road will be diverted from T-Hub Jn. – My Home Bhooja T-Jn. – Old Mumbai Highway – Khajaguda – Darga – Nyayvihar – Jubilee Hills. 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

2. Darga Junction to Gachibowli

(Khajaguda Junction) Traffic coming from Darga to Gachibowli will be diverted towards Nanakramguda Rotary 1 – straight – Nanakramguda Rotary 2 – Right turn – Gachibowli Jn. 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

3. Gachibowli Junction to Wipro Junction.

(Gachibowli Junction) Traffic coming from the Gachibowli junction towards Wipro Junction Will be diverted to GPRA quarters – Right turn – Gopichand Academy – Infosys – Wipro Jn. 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

4. Wipro Junction to Gachibowli Junction (IIIT Junction) Traffic coming from Wipro Junction towards Gachibowli will be diverted from Fairfield Hotel - Nanakramguda rotary - 2 – Left turn – Gachibowli. 04:00 AM to 11:30 AM

5. Kothaguda junction to Cyber towers

(CII Jn.) Traffic coming from the Kothaguda junction towards Cyber Towers will be diverted towards Rolling Hills – Ikea Flyover – Inorbit Mall – COD – Cyber Towers 04:00 AM to 09:00 AM

6. Road no: 45 via Cable Bridge towards ITC Kohinoor

(Cable Bridge) Traffic coming from Road No. 45 via cable bridge will be diverted towards Kavuri hills - Madhapur L&O PS - left turn – COD - left turn - Durgam Cheruvu - I Labs - ITC Kohinoor – Left turn – T Hub Jn – My Home Bhooja T-Jn. – Old Mumbai High way – Khajaguda. 08:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Restriction of heavy vehicles:

Heavy vehicles i.e. Trucks, Lorries, DCMs, RMC, and Water Tankers will not be allowed in the above-mentioned routes in the limits of Madhapur, Raidurgam, and Gachibowli Traffic PSs Cyberabad.

The general public is advised to take a diversion to avoid congestion on the above stretches and cooperate with Traffic Police in ensuring the free flow of traffic.
