Hyderabad metro to launch off-peak hours with 10% discount offer from 1 April

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad metro rail has introduced off-peak hours offer. From 1 April, 10% discount will be available on notified fare on contactless smart cards (CSC) from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., the L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) announced on Friday.

The Super Saver Offer (SSO-59), which was widely appreciated by Hyderabad Metro Rail passengers and which saw more than 1.3 million rides, ends on 31 March 2023. Continuing its successful run, L&TMRHL has announced this super saver offer (SSO-99) which will last till 31 March 2024.

Passengers can travel unlimited on 100 notified holidays at Rs. 99 only. Pre-existing SSO-59 smart cards can be used for SSO-99 offer. The list of notified holidays where the SSO-99 offer is applicable is enclosed and is also available online and at stations.


K.V.B. Reddy, the MD and CEO of L&TMRHL, said these offers are for the benefit of the passengers using the Hyderabad metro rail services. ā€œI believe these offers will further strengthen passenger commute with Hyderabad metro rail to facilitate both office commuters and the general public,ā€ he said.

L&TMRHL has also announced the withdrawal of 10% discount on the notified fare on the usage of contactless smart cards (CSC) and digital QR (DQR) tickets as follows: CSC ā€“ 8:01 a.m. to 7:59 p.m.; DQR ā€“ 6 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Currently, Hyderabad metro rail is ferrying approximately 4.4 lakh passengers daily across 69 kms and 57 stations in three corridors.
