Hyderabad: `Monster step-dad' sentenced to life for raping, impregnating 14YO daughter

The accused repeatedly raped the 14-year-old minor in 2016. Later she became pregnant. The accused locked her in his house and threatened to kill her if she revealed his wrongdoings.
On March 9, Kanchanbagh police station received a written complaint from the victim's brother. He said that for the past three years Mohammed Khaleel, a resident of Hafeez Baba Nagar, was sedating and raping his minor sister in his house.
He said she became pregnant at the age of 14 years. When his mother came to know about the pregnancy, she tried to abort her child. However, a boy was born in January 2019.
Instead of stopping her husband, she told her daughter to keep quiet. To cover up her husband's misdeeds, she told her relatives that she married the girl to someone in Gulf. She said that her daughter later delivered a baby.
Even after delivering the child, Khaleel raped and impregnated her again. He gave her pills for abortion. For the past three years, he has been committing rape on his minor sister and his mother supported him.
The complainant said he told her to escape from the house and stay with him in his house. The complainant said that he has been getting threatening calls from his mother and stepfather. He said Khaleel tried to torch his house, but he could not succeed.
After the complaint, Kanchanbagh police filed a case against under section U / sec 376 (2) (1) (n), 376 (3), 342, 506 IPC & Sec 6 r / w 50) (ii) (1) (n), Sec 17 r / w 16 of POCSO ACT.
Later her mother and stepfather were arrested. In June, the trial started. Nampally Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court pronounced the verdict on Thursday. The victim's mother was also charged but was let go due to a lack of evidence.
