Hyderabad: A series of fire incidents on Diwali night have destroyed property worth crores in different parts of Hyderabad city.

A slipper godown at Mir Chowk, a tapas shop in Sun City, and an electronic showroom were destroyed in the fire incident.

Authorities swiftly responded to these emergencies, deploying a considerable number of fire engines and personnel to douse the flames.

At Mir Chowk, officials reported that the fire affected the second and third floors of the building, primarily containing slipper godowns.

The flames were successfully extinguished on the second floor. Efforts are on to control the fire on the third. No casualties were reported as the incidents occurred during Diwali, and the locations were devoid of occupants at the time.

In a separate incident in Sun City, a tapas shop, along with a tent house, a fast food center, and a neighboring medical shop were ravaged by the fire. Local witnesses and authorities confirmed the extensive damage caused by the blaze.

Simultaneously, an electronic showroom in the old town, Bajaj Electronics in Shalibanda, was engulfed in flames, necessitating the immediate response of fire crews to contain and extinguish the fire.

A fire broke out at a bookshop in Medipally and spread to a tailor store. Officials believe the bookshop owner placed lamps and then closed his business, causing the fire.

On Sunday night, a fire broke out at a furniture godown in Ameerpet, Madhuranagar. Property worth millions of rupees was demolished.

Officials believe the fire was sparked by exploding crackers without taking appropriate measures.

There have also been reports of fires in Rajendranagar and other parts of the city.

Authorities and witnesses provided details of these events, highlighting the swift deployment of resources to mitigate the fires.

Authorities continue their investigations to ascertain the causes behind these multiple outbreaks.
