Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Hindupur MLA and Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna paid Rs 7,75,000 to buy a fancy car registration number āTG 09 F0001', through an online bidding held by Telangana Regional Transport Authority (RTA) at its Khairathabad office on Saturday.
The transport department officials in Manikonda earned Rs 37.15 lakh in a single day by auctioning fancy vehicle registration numbers on Saturday. These unusual numerals have sparked intense bidding.
In a statement issued here, Khairatabad Joint Transport Commissioner (JTC) Ch Ramesh said that some of the other high-end bids for high-end fancy number plates were TG 09 F 0009, which were auctioned for Rs 6,70,000 and claimed by M/s Kamalalaya Hiisoft Pvt Ltd, and M/s Ecko design studio spent approximately Rs 99,999 to acquire the fancy number TG 09 F 9999.
While M/s Jetti Infra Projects Pvt Ltd spent Rs 1,49,999 to acquire TG 09 F 0005, Srinivas Naidu K spent Rs 1,37,779 to acquire TG 09 F 0007, TG 09 F 0019 was acquired by Nethravathi Balagappa Shivalingappa for Rs 60,000 and Concap Electrical Pvt Ltd acquired TG 09 F 0099 for Rs 475,999, the JTC said.
