Hyderabad: Online ticket sales for Ind-NZ ODI to open on 13 Jan; no offline sales
The ticket prices range from Rs. 850 to Rs. 17,700. A customer can buy upto 4 tickets.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 11 Jan 2023 2:55 PM GMTHyderabad: After a gap of nearly four years, Hyderabad is all set to host a One-Day International match on January 18 between India and New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. The total seating capacity of the stadium is 39,112.
The tickets for the match will be sold only online through PAYTM this time, said Hyderabad Cricket Association President Md. Azharuddin. The online sale of tickets will begin at 5pm from 13 January to 16 January.
- 6,000 tickets will be sold on 13 January
- 7,000 on 14 January
- 7,000 on 15 January
- The remaining tickets on 16 January

Physical tickets are mandatory to enter the stadium. The customers who have bought the tickets online will receive an email and SMS confirmation for the transaction made. This communication will also include a QR code. The customers need to show this QR code at the redemption counter to collect their physical tickets. The redemption counters are at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium and GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli starting from January 15 between 10 am and 3 pm. The customers should also carry a photocopy of their government approved Photo ID proof for verification.
Referring to the stampede incident at Gymkhana Grounds in September 2022 during the sale of offline tickets for India vs Australia T20 International, Mohammed Azharuddin, President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association said, "Whatever mistakes we made last time, we have rectified them this time." He also said that they have met Rachakonda Commissioner DS Chauhan and the coordination committee to discuss and review the arrangements in order to avoid chaos.
The last ODI macth in Hyderabad was held between India and Australia in 2019.
