Hyderabad: Panic after people spot big wild cat at Miyapur metro station

Hyderabad: A big wild cat at Miyapur metro station sent people into a tizzy.

Workers from a construction site filmed the animal and immediately informed the police.

Miyapur Inspector Kranti Kumar arrived at the scene and questioned the workers who recorded the video. Later the officer informed the forest department about the incident.

Given the presence of labor camps belonging to various construction companies in nearby areas like Nadigadda and Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar Thandas, the Miyapur police have also issued an alert.

Police said it is yet to be confirmed which wild cat species was roaming at the station. The forest department will need to examine the footprints and other evidence to decide.
