Hyderabad parts to face water supply disruption due to pipeline repairs: check list of affected areas

Hyderabad: Residents in various parts of the city are likely to face water supply disruptions on Saturday.

Officials said repairs are being carried out at the main pipeline of the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme, which may result in disruptions.

According to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), maintenance work will be carried out on the 1200 mm diameter MS gravity main pipeline from Hydernagar to Alwal, notably at Shahpur Nagar. The repair work will last from 6 am to 9 pm.

As a result, the drinking water supply will be interrupted for 15 hours in several locations, either completely or partially. Hyderabad's water supply will be interrupted in the following areas: Shapur Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Kalavati Nagar, HMT Society, HAL Colony, TSIIC Colony, Rodamestri Nagar, Srinivas Nagar, Indira Nagar, Gajularamaram, Sri Sai Hills, Devender Nagar, Kailash Hills, Balaji Layout, Kaiser Nagar and Gajularamaram Village.

To avoid disruption, authorities advise residents to conserve enough drinking water ahead of time and plan accordingly.
