Hyderabad: Passengers fume as Alliance Air arbitrarily cancels 8 flights

Hyderabad: Alliance Air has come under fire for canceling eight flights from Shamshabad Airport on Monday. The airline cited technical issues for the cancellation.

Tirupati, Bangalore, Vijayawada, and Mysore sectors were affected by the cancellation.

The sudden cancellation came as a shock to passengers who had made prior arrangements for their journey. Many expressed their frustration with Alliance Air's poor services, demanding better treatment and communication from the airline's management.

“Dozens of passengers left stranded at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad as #AllianceAir cancels several flights at the last minute. The affected flights included routes to and from Tirupati, Bangalore, Chennai, Vizag, and Mysore,” The AvGeek tweeted.

Expressing his disappointment, Mahamia Vinod, a passenger said his son, who had undergone kidney stone surgery, had to go for a follow-up at Chennai hospital.

Tanishq, Vinod's said there were around 60 other affected passengers. Vinod criticized the airline for delaying Alliance Air flight 9I871 for five hours and then canceling it due to crew unavailability at Hyderabad Airport.

In response to Vinod's complaint, the RGIA stated that they had noted and shared his feedback with the relevant team. They also requested Alliance Air to look into the matter.

The sudden cancellation has caused inconvenience and distress to many passengers. They have urged the airline to improve their services and communication with passengers. The affected passengers are still waiting for updates and hoping for a swift resolution to their predicament.
