Hyderabad: An amusement ride at Hyderabad’s Numaish exhibition unexpectedly halted during a trial run on January 16, leaving passengers stuck upside down for over 20 minutes.
The incident, attributed to a mechanical issue caused by battery failure, raised safety concerns among visitors and sparked online discussions.
Organizers Respond to Concerns
Speaking to Newsmeter about the incident, Aswin Margam, a managing committee member of the exhibition, stated: “The issue occurred due to a brief mechanical problem during a trial run. Our technicians responded immediately, replaced the battery, and resolved the matter within minutes. We want to reassure visitors that all safety protocols are in place, and such incidents will not be repeated. Most importantly, no one was injured, and we are committed to ensuring the safety of all our guests.”
He added: “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to passengers and visitors. The ride has been thoroughly inspected and is now fully functional. Visitor safety remains our top priority.”

Videos of the incident showing passengers stuck upside down circulated on social media, drawing mixed reactions:
