Hyderabad: Pay property tax before April 30, get 5% rebate

The scheme has been structured around the collection of property tax for the financial year 2024-25

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has called upon the property taxpayers of Hyderabad to take advantage of the Early Bird Scheme. As per the scheme, paying the property tax for the current year before April 30 can get a five per cent rebate.

He said that, so far Rs 230 crores has been collected as part of the Early Bird Scheme. He said that the scheme has been structured around the collection of property tax for the financial year 2024-25.

Rebate for hospitals

As part of the early bird scheme, 11 hospitals in different areas under the ownership of Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad city have paid Rs 5,11,73,133 (Rs 5 crores) for this year’s property tax of Rs 5,38,55,471. The commissioner said that a rebate of Rs 26,92,790 was received.

The GHMC commissioner advised people to take advantage of the scheme to save money. On the occasion, the property owners handed over the tax checks to the commissioner.

As the early bird scheme ends on April 30, the commissioner suggested that those who have not yet paid the property tax related to the financial year 2024-25 should immediately pay the tax amount and get a five per cent rebate.
