Hyderabad: In light of the prevailing national security situation, the Hyderabad City Police have imposed a ban on bursting firecrackers and fireworks in public areas, with a particular focus on military cantonment zones.

Police Commissioner CV Anand stated that sudden loud noises, such as those from firecrackers, could easily be misinterpreted as gunfire, explosions, or terror-related incidents, potentially triggering panic, disrupting public order, and straining the resources of security forces.

Given the heightened security measures and ongoing vigilance in the wake of recent terrorist activities across the country, such actions could endanger public safety and complicate the response to any emergency situation.

The public is strongly urged to refrain from bursting firecrackers in any public spaces, gatherings, or events, as this could escalate security concerns and lead to misunderstandings. Public cooperation is essential to ensure the safety and security of all residents.

Any individual found violating this directive will be subject to legal action under relevant laws. This will come into force with immediate effect and continue till further orders.
