Hyderabad police issue traffic advisory for Golconda Bonalu 2025; find list of parking spaces here

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory to manage congestion and ensure public safety as thousands of devotees are expected to participate in the upcoming Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Golconda Bonalu Celebrations 2025.

The advisory will be in force on specific dates from June 26 to July 24, between 8 am and 11 pm on each occasion.

The Bonalu celebrations at Golconda Fort are spread across nine key dates June 26 (first pooja), 29 (second pooja), July: 3 (third), 6 (fourth), 10 (fifth), 13 (sixth), 17 (seventh), 20 (eighth), and 24 (ninth).

Traffic congestion expected on key routes

Due to the anticipated influx of devotees, traffic congestion is likely on the following roads leading to the Golconda Fort:

Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort via Makkai Darwaza

Langar Houz to Golconda Fort via Fateh Darwaza

Shaikpet Nala and Seven Tombs to Golconda Fort via Banjara Darwaza

Commuters are advised to avoid these routes during the specified timings and use alternative roads to prevent delays and inconvenience.

Designated parking facilities for devotees

To manage vehicular flow and assist devotees, specific parking zones have been arranged based on approach routes:

Via Ramdevguda (Makkai Darwaza):

Two-wheelers: Ashoor Khana to Army Sentry Post

Four-wheelers: Artillery Centre, Ramdevguda and Ashoor Khana, Golconda

Note: Setwin buses will be permitted up to Ashoor Khana only.

Via Langar Houz (Fateh Darwaza):

Two-wheelers: MCH Park, Golconda Bus Stop, Al Hira School

Four-wheelers: Area Hospital, Golconda

Via Shaikpet (Banjara Darwaza):

Four-wheelers: Hockey Ground, Owaisi Ground, Deccan Park (7 Tombs)

Two-wheelers: Golf Club Road by-lane

Devotees are requested to park their vehicles only at the designated sites and proceed to the fort on foot. Traffic police urge citizens to maintain order at parking zones and cooperate with the authorities.
