Hyderabad RTA earns Rs 38.76 lakh from vehicle number registrations; ‘0009’ leads with Rs 10.46 lakh

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in Khairatabad conducted a special vehicle registration number auction, generating a total of Rs 38,76,996. Several bidders, including individuals and corporate entities, participated in securing premium registration numbers for their vehicles.

Most expensive number sold for over Rs 10 lakh

The highest bid was placed for TG 09 E 0009, which was auctioned for Rs 10,46,999. The number was secured by Venkatesh Goud Ija.

Other expensive bids in the auction

Apart from the top bid, several other numbers fetched high prices:

TG 09 D 9999 – Rs 6,26,000 (Owner: Eternal Avenues and Infrastructures Pvt Ltd)

TG 09 E 0001 – Rs 4,69,900 (Owner: Srinivas Reddy Perati)

TG 09 E 0005 – Rs 2,43,001 (Owner: Kara Conseil Pvt Ltd)

TG 09 E 0006 – ₹2,25,117 (Owner: Goyaz Jewellery Private Limited)

Corporate buyers among the bidders

Several corporate entities also participated in the auction, securing numbers for their fleet vehicles. Sithara Entertainments, a film production company, acquired TG 09 E 0019 for Rs 1,00,019. Similarly, Neuland Laboratories Limited won TG 09 E 0027 for Rs 1,09,000.

Growing demand for premium registration numbers

The demand for unique vehicle numbers has remained strong in Hyderabad, with many buyers considering them a status symbol or a source of good luck.

With the success of this auction, authorities anticipate similar participation in future bidding events as Hyderabad’s vehicle owners seek exclusive registration numbers.
