Hyderabad: Special Operations Team (SOT) on Friday raided two pubs in Gachibowli and Madhapur after receiving information about drugs. Seuthes conducted on-site drug tests, and four youth tested positive.
The inspections were carried out at Club Rogue and Frat House Pubs, which were reportedly operating in violation of regulations.
Youngsters under the influence of cannabis
Police found several patrons in an intoxicated state during the raids. On-site drug tests confirmed cannabis consumption by four individuals, who were immediately taken into custody by the Madhapur Police.
Cases booked under NDPS Act
Authorities have registered cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and launched an investigation. Action is also being considered against the pub management for allowing drug-related activities on their premises.
In the wake of this incident, police have indicated plans to step up monitoring of nightlife establishments across Hyderabad to prevent drug abuse and ensure compliance with legal norms.
More details are awaited.
