Hyderabad: A soldier was killed when he was hit by a speeding vehicle at Outer Ring Road (ORR).

The incident occurred at Narsinghi on Monday. Identified as B. Kunal, the 23-year-old solider from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was stationed at the Golconda Artillery Centre. He has been serving in the army since 2019.

According to the Narsinghi police, the soldier had taken permission to leave the campus, stating that he had some work at the SBI bank. At around 2:30 pm, while he was walking on the ORR, a speeding ready mix lorry hit him at ORR. Kunal suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.

Upon receiving the information, the police immediately reached the scene and detained the ready-mix vehicle and the driver. The body was shifted to the Osmania Mortuary.

During the police investigation, it was revealed that the vehicle was being driven by a person without a valid license. Another person was also present in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
