The latest in line is āStreet Rushā.
The first edition of the Street Rush event will be held at the Chicane Circuit in Shameerpet, Hyderabad on 30 April.
Street Rush carries forward the brandās initiatives under the Jawa Yezdi Nomads umbrella to keep their Kommuniti engaged with exciting training programmes that enable riders to get the most out of their machines. While the āTrail Attackā was focused on off-road riding, this programme is aimed at a more urban setting and focuses on honing road-riding skills. It is a one-of-a-kind gymkhana event for owners where they get to push the limits of their Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles while experiencing the thrill of racing on a closed circuit; all in a controlled environment.
Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle models have always had the performance edge. Right from the Jawa 42, which pioneered a sporty modern classic motorcycle in the country to the purpose-built Yezdi Adventure to take on any terrain and the Yezdi Scrambler, Indiaās first true blue scrambler, the motorcycles have set the hearts racing for brand enthusiasts.
Participants will be trained by Rustom Patel, a renowned name in off-road and rally events as well as training programmes. Rustom, who has three international and eight national titles to his name, is currently the head coach of Ajmera Racing India and will impart hands-on training to the participants.
The event is open to all Jawa and Yezdi owners. The registration fee for the event is a nominal Rs. 499 and interested riders can register online for the event.
This one-day programme is designed to help riders learn new skills and master their motorcyclesā capabilities while having a fun day at the track. During the day, riders will learn the basics of riding techniques like motorcycle control, acceleration, throttle control, cornering, turning-in, and effective braking. After getting familiar with these concepts, the riders will be allowed to run timed laps around a closed circuit to put their skills to the test.
Safety is the top priority for this event and Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles urges all participants to wear proper riding gear during their sessions. This includes high-quality helmets, protective riding jackets and pants/knee guards, gloves, and riding boots.
