Hyderabad: TGCSB busts fake Salasar Trading Company; two involved in 23 cases held
Preliminary information indicates that the accused are involved in 23 cyber crimes

Hyderabad: Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has apprehended two cyber fraudsters involved in multiple cases of cyber crimes across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.
Identified as Nand Kishore (42) and Deepak Vaishnav (31), they were arrested in Beawar, Rajasthan on Thursday.
Mobile phones and relevant documents were seized, and the accused were produced before the Magistrate in Beawar and brought to Karimnagar on a Transit Warrant.
The accused are being produced before the Court in Karimnagar for Judicial remand.
What is the crime?
In April 2024, Nanda Kishore set up a fictitious office under the name Salasar Trading Company in Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, and opened a bank account in Bandhan Bank, SR Nagar, Hyderabad.
They then operated this account from Beawar and lured the victim Gajengi Sathaiah from Karimnagar, through a WhatsApp group named 'Stock Market' and the website federatedhermesn.com, convincing him to invest in the share market.
Believing them, the victim transferred Rs. 46,11,000 from May 6 to June 18 through RTGS, UPI, and NEFT to the fraudulent account. Subsequently, the accused denied the victim access to the fraudulent website.
Preliminary information indicates that the accused are involved in 23 cyber crimes across India, including Telangana. The accused will be taken into police custody for further investigation and to uncover additional crimes and criminal links.
TGCSB director Shikha Goel advised the public not to invest in unauthorized apps or platforms that are not regulated by reputable authorities. She also said that people should be cautious of unsolicited messages or links received through Telegram, WhatsApp, or other social media platforms.
