Hyderabad to host 17th Poultry India Expo at HITEX from Nov 26–28

Hyderabad: The 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, South Asia’s largest exhibition dedicated to the poultry sector, will be held at HITEX, Hitec City, Hyderabad, from November 26 to 28. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will be attending as the chief guest.

The event will be preceded by Poultry Knowledge Day on November 25 at HICC Novotel.

A comprehensive platform for the poultry sector

The three-day expo will serve as a platform for information exchange on poultry production, feed equipment, technology, breeding, nutrition, animal health, and international trends in the industry. It will also cover recent developments in poultry research, science, and feed milling technology, and host forums on training and career opportunities in the sector.

Speaking at a curtain raiser event held on Wednesday in Hyderabad, Uday Singh Bayas, President of the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), said:

“The main objective of this exhibition is to keep abreast of the latest developments and practices in poultry management, poultry health and nutrition, poultry breeding, and new techniques in feed manufacturing and production.”

International attendance

Bayas added that this year’s event is expected to attract over 45,000 participants from 35 to 50 countries.

“This exhibition is South Asia’s biggest poultry exhibition, and we are expecting the participation of more than 45,000 people from 35 to 50 countries,” he said.

Global participation and industry growth

Highlighting the international significance of the event, Bayas noted that the Agriculture Minister of Uganda and delegations from several countries will be visiting the expo.

“The Ministry of Uganda and its Agriculture Minister are expected to visit the expo along with several associations representing various governments worldwide to know how India has been developing now as we rank the second largest producer of eggs and the fourth largest in chicken,” he explained.

He further added that 500 exhibitors from across the world will showcase products and innovations in poultry science and technology.

“As many as 500 exhibitors from various countries will showcase their world-class products. India is today in such a position that we are producing our own equipment and feed in India and are also exporting it,” Bayas said.

Aligning with ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and Vision 2047

Bayas emphasised that the growth of India’s poultry industry represents self-reliance and innovation.

“The efforts of the poultry industry in India embody the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat, reflecting the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 specified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

Promoting nutritional awareness

Discussing the role of poultry in improving nutrition, Bayas said the industry is working to promote eggs and chicken as affordable sources of protein.

“The chicken and eggs are a good source of protein consumed in our villages and cities. Most of the people today are underweight in various villages. If we provide a good diet with protein, the problem of underweight can be addressed,” he explained.
