Hyderabad to host 8-day Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav celebrating Northeast culture

New Delhi: Rashtrapati Nilayam in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North-East Region and the Ministry of Culture will host the first edition of Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav from September 29 to October 6. President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Mahotsav on September 28.

Entry to the Mahotsav will be free of free of cost. Visitors can reserve their slot by visiting the government website.

The eight-day-long celebration will showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of our North-Eastern states. Visitors will get acquainted with the art, culture, crafts, and culinary diversity of the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

300 artists to showcase talents

People can visit the Mahotsav between 10 am and 8 pm from September 29 to October 6. More than 300 artists and artisans from these states will be participating in the event. An on-the-spot booking facility will also be available for walk-in visitors at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum, Secunderabad.

21st annual convocation of NALSAR

The 21st Annual Convocation of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, is going to be held on September 28. President Droupadi Murmu will deliver the convocation address.

Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Verma, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Justice PS Narasimha, Judge of Supreme Court of India will be gracing the occasion.

Justice Alok Aradhe, chancellor of NALSAR University of Law will preside over the convocation. Prof Srikrishna Deva Rao, vice chancellor of NALSAR, will present the annual report of the University. Prof N Vasanthi will lead the convocation procession.

The convocation will be held between 12 am and 1.30 pm in the auditorium of the University. Around 50 gold medals will be presented to the successful candidates on this occasion. Degrees in LLM, BA LLB honours, MBA, and various other courses will be presented to the successful candidates.
