Hyderabad to host ACCEI national meet on next-gen high-rise structures on July 11-12
Hyderabad: As cities continue to grow vertically to accommodate increasing urban populations, Hyderabad is set to become the centre of a national dialogue on the future of high-rise construction, said Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) [ACCE(I)], vice president (South) Er K Rajkumar.
Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday, Rajkumar said that ACCE Hyderabad Centre will host a two-day national conference on āNext-Gen High-Rise Buildings ā Advancements in Composite and Steel Structuresā on July 11-12, at the ESCI Centenary Convention Centre, Gachibowli.
800 delegates expected
With over 800 delegates expected from across the country, including prominent engineers, architects, builders, researchers, and policy influencers, the conference aims to explore innovations in vertical urban infrastructure that balance strength, sustainability, and resilience, he added.
Advancing vertical growth with sustainability
Elaborating further, Rajkumar said that high-rise buildings are increasingly vital for space-constrained urban centres, but they pose unique challenges in terms of structural stability, disaster resilience, and environmental impact.
The conference will delve into modern construction techniques using composite and steel systems, promote green building norms, and emphasise climate-conscious urban planning, he said.
